Coins Count

It’s a wonderful thing to have so many payment choices but there are lots of good reasons to consider cash.  There’s the simplicity of it all.  It’s accepted virtually everywhere and it’s an excellent tool for managing your money. Put a $20 bill in your pocket and, (unless you cheat and pull out the plastic,) you’re virtually assured of spending no more than that in the course of your travels. There’s a more deliberate consciousness associated with cash because of its perceived and very real value.

In many ways, and increasingly, cash seems to carry less risk than credit and debit cards.  Every day we hear stories of yet another data breach resulting in fraud and identity theft from hacked credit and debit card records. Say what you will, but you can’t hack cash. Additionally, it enables anonymity, which in this day & age, is one of the few remaining safeguards to your personal privacy.

According to the Harvard Business Review [June 26, 2014] “about a third of all transactions are conducted using cash payments.” As a merchant, cash means not paying anywhere from 2 - 4% fixed and variable interchange processing fees.  And that goes directly to the business's bottom line.

Coins are a different story.  Sure, they’re part of the cash equation, but they just seem a lot more onerous and annoying.  Clunky, weighty, plentiful (particularly those pennies), they jingle, take up space and seem generally more of a bother than they’re worth. Wouldn’t it be a welcome change to the many POS and payment options available if there was one specifically dedicated way to solving the problem with coins?

The Pockit app converts the coins and change back from cash transactions into a personal digital currency cache, and offers countless other advantages, as well.

Besides converting coins into a digital stockpile, you’ll receive everything from rewards to rebates, cashback, gifts, discounts, coupons and other incentives. All available with Pockit app usage.

Download the app from the app store. Then, when using cash anywhere the Pockit logo is displayed, that merchant will return the change from that transaction into your Pockit account. No more coins to carry, or change to count. Only the convenience of knowing your money is safe and growing.

Best of all, you have complete autonomy over how you use that money. You’ll be amazed how quickly that spare change adds up. All those quarters, nickels, dimes and pennies have a lot more worth when aggregated into something besides a piggy bank.  Your Pockit account can be tied to checking or savings account, applied to a gift card or contributed to a cause or charity of your choosing. It’s one of the easiest ways to save and certainly one of the easiest ways to give.  The Pockit app really makes coins count!

See you on the flip side!
